Air Handling Units and Components

There is great interest in the development and optimization of innovative Air Handling Units (AHU) because these systems can significantly contribute to reduce energy consumption of buildings and to keep high indoor air quality levels. In particular, many research efforts deal with the development of units with separated control of the sensible and latent loads, driven by low temperature heat sources and, more generally, of advanced components based on sorption materials and evaporative cooling principle. Main researches and expertise are summarized below. Experimental activity is carried out through test rig of DEC_Lab and additional equipment of CECH_lab.
